The perfect ending to 2004 was my ULTRA exciting funkalicious meet up with ::kitten:: and ::samsoomah:: yesterday aww! squeeezing both of your cheeeks! I honestly n truly cudn't have dreamed up a more glamorous and action filled day, i am still giggling about our mischieviousness! you guys are the funkiest n most exciting baaaybes on the face of this planet ooooooh!quick quick +holds up the babe on board sign+ kekekekeke i seriously had a blast and i hope that the new year brings all the joy and happiness your ways and the two of you remain to shine the way you do +noo bzzt'ing people+ errrrmmm, i also hope i was a goody amateur l'il tourguide minus the pink microphone and pink tour bus! +lol+ my jaws still ache me min the rate of giggling per second ouchie ouchie ! eeew i just got a mental image of ::samz:: lizard hahahahahahah! I can't believe that it's time again to farewell yet another year of our lives +snifffles+ i actually enjoyed 2004 although i cant remeber why? hahaha let me try to drilll my braincells n squeeze out the major best n worst events 4 me in 2004! +squeeeeezing+

IT'S A GIRL

My close friend was gifted with a gaaawjus l'il baby girly this week awww! i wanna squeeeze her tiny l'il toesies n handsiess soo tight! allah ye7fa'6ha the l'il pearly, inshallah she grows up to be a beautiful l'il sparkly gem, i just adore l'il gurlies madree why bas i guess its cuz you can dress them up n pin ultra cute stuff in their hair and the whole fuss about l'il gurlies they're simply magical mashallah! mabrook 2 both of you on the arrival of your twinkly princeeessa may she fill your days with joy & laughter always n forever, sooo cuuute! Ofcourse, considering the fact that now i have suddenly developed a new aunty title i had to rush out n stock up on fancy l'il pinky dinky goodies for the l'il angel just to make sure i secure a vip position in her goodbooks hee hee! but awww aren't baby accesories n clothes the cutesttt! i spent atleast a few hours just oooh'ing n aaaah'ing the 2die4 baby goodies hehehe weeeeeeeee! Also, i put in a l'il xtra effort by cooking up my own wrappping paper outoff white fabric which i sprinkled with ribbons, petals n pearls the outcome was alrighty, i just hope me fwiendy likes it!!!

The weather in dxb this year mashallah is wonderful, the raindrops are splishing all over the city and definately lifting up the city's beauty and spirit. Although, i hate gloomy,rainy n cold weather i dn't mind the seasonal showers we get once in a blue moon but rain for for more than two consecutive days will definately be a poooper! I love our Dubai sunshine i actually read a study once that stated that people living in warm n sunny climate countries are far more productive, active and cheerful than people living in cold countries heee hee so basically that means we rockkk!

I also, wish all of you a happy new year in advance +pullls her party poppers n crackers out yeeehaaa+ may everyone have a wonderful new year ahead of them n happy 2005 to all! ooh n what are your new year resolutions?? i am still jotting down my list..

yeeeha! my cruise collection of limited ghitra tops are finally ready for SAUCE & FIVEGREEN! yipppee yippeee i am kinda ultra attached them though +sniffles+ but tis alrightey they have a bright future to sparkle and me won't stand in their way! heheheheh! so yeah basically, the range i am launching for the new year is a series of cotton grey, black n white tanktops embellished with ghitra fabrics and cwsytal spangled adornments! Again they are one off's with a united theme! hee heee, I am also cooking up a large batch of pink thuthi bags for saudi next month inshallah! so let's just hope i manage to hold on to me sanity after january! +garrrrrrr+

Me hello Kitty plush toy baggy is all set alas! so i'm gnna setoff to rock the city today! +thrilled+ i can so imagine me friends reflex reaction! NA UH NO WAY ! stay away stay away +sniffles+ is there no openings for funkiness and hello kitschy creativity in the world no more + boo hoo+ My first cuzzy was gifted with healthy l'il katakeeet baby boy twins this week! mashallah alla ye7fa'6hum oooooh so cute! they are still nameless heehhe but me flickr friends have cooked up a few funky options! wud love to know your suggested baby boy names too! we actually do have a few twinnies in our familytree o' awwwwwww! i spot dangerous genes coming my way ahhahaha! My close friend is also, on the verge of popping any second, sooo cuuute inshallah ! YEMEN UNLEASHED

I am home yippeee! alas! i am still overcoming the jetlag errm 1 hr time difference but i have this thing with flying and aeroplanes all me life, i simply HATE IT! hahaha i dread getting on a plane its just that smell that kills me! is it just me? or does everyone encounter that nerve wrecking aeroplane smell! lol i must be hallucinating! anyways, i had to attend a wedding in san3a yemen during the weekend and i must admit i had the best weekend ever in my entire lil pinky dinky life.

We were a group of around 60 in total and we all throttled for 2 and a half hours aboard emirates airlines to san3a, Upon landing the first thing that went thru my goldfish memory brain was CULTURE SHOCK! big time! i mean i felt i had flipped upon a page in national geographic magazine and somehow warped meself into its glossy pages, i was engulfed by yemeni culture at once and i must admit that it was an entire new realm, a world of its own filled with heritage and embedded with arabian purity and origins. Everything in yemen amazed me the people, the architecture, the cultural norms everything was just so new so enticing and so attractive.

Ofcourse, considering my addiction with lomography i went thru 9 rolls in a span of one and a half days, aaah i just had to capture it all and keep it all cherished and illustrated in my memory for eternity. Again, i was surprised by the way the country had managed to hold on to its ancient historical lifestyle, i seriously felt i was in another timezone or a time dated back in history when camels were used for transport and electricty was merely a distant dream. Yemen is so beautiful yet so different, a must see for all! +gaaaasps+ ah well enuff blabbing from me, just wanted to share some of my double exposed shots i took with my lomo lc-a during me short trip and as for the wedding it was a blast all me wishes to alll i am so glad to be home all safe n sound! +pheeeew+

DUBAI MEETS CHINA

Envision yourself wandering through a bustling market in China, the aromas of authentic oriental cuisine waft through the alleyways ranging from oystersauce stirfries to roasted peking ducks that tease your taste buds. You are surrounded by swarms of unfamiliar almond eyed n velvet haired orientals and your hearing magnifies as it digests their unfamiliar language. Your eyes gaze eagerly as you try to decipher the ornamental chinese calligraphy around you and you eagerly use sign language as your only defence to land a fantastic bargain. Now unleash your creative thinking skills and imagine this scenario in Dubai +gasps in aww+

The First project of the Dubai International City has unleashed its Great red doors to the public with a deafening BIG BANG! +slips on her pink mufflers+ The new China Dragon Mart is definately going to raise Dubai's position as a trading hub in the middle east. I honestly felt i had suddenly warped into mainland China, it was just so bizzarre even the shopkeepers barely spoke any english and used their l'il calculators to point out the prices +bouncing i likey i likey alot+ Although half the stores were still opening up i managed to get me l'il pink manicured hands onto a bunch of Hello Kitty goodies which was ironic since hello kitty is japanese but i guess they're just as obsessed with kitty witty after all she is irresistable. I also found the cutest ever gadget shop that had cartoon character phones. They had it all from powerpuff gurls to pucca and hello kittyyyy ooooh pwetttty stuff! I can't wait till the arts n crafts section opens up so i can dive into accessory shoppings for me fashion label +yummy yummmy me glowing in joy+

I've been ultra tied down this week working on a promotional brochure for a chocolate shop its turning out quite funky so am enthusiastic about finalizing it also i've been designing a funky range of embellished tops for sauce and fivegreen aaah if only i cud stretch time a bit. I'm targeting next week for delivery. OOOh and I'm gnna be flying out for the weekend hoo hoo so inshallah i'll be loaded with goodies when i get back. All the bestty westtty to all, gtta run now me new hellokitty fone is lighting up +tringgg kitty triiinggg+

BBQ ON DA BEACH

I truly enjoy BBQ's umm just the sound of the word BBQ makes me drool +Oh BEHAAAVe+ i had a wonderful time this evening, we set off to one of the beaches on the jumeira coastline at sunset and setup our funky l'il picnic tools for the ultimate pigging out session ever in our lifetimes +LOL+. We were a group of ten gurly wurlys all wrapped up tight n warm in our pashminas and enjoying a few hours in the gaawjus initial wintery Dubai weather. At sunset the sky transformed into a kaleidscope of tangerine oranges n lavender lilacs aah sub7aaan allah the beauty of nature and its magnifecence defies any literal descriptions mashallah. We started up a fire n charcoal grilled hotdogs, corn, burgers and completed the hungerfest with baked bananas stuffed with hershey kisses ummm 2die4!

I really enjoyed my time with the gurlies although its the second time we get together i reallly do enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. As hello Kitty puts it " You can never have too many friends" kekeke. I seriously, enjoy the company of new people i just feel that its nice to break free from the circle of friends you are used to hanging around with once in a while, cause you never know who you're gnna bump into. I know i sound all philisophical n poetic in this post but i really believe that sometimes you meet people and you just feel like your life becomes brighter with them being a part of it. Last year, i happened to meet ::speedysarz:: and a year after she has definately secured an extremely precious place in me heart, i mean its so strange cuz we think, talk, look, walk, n even laugh alike! I am really thankful that we're friends today cuz it wud've been a shame if our paths never crossed! i mithh ya tons guwlyyy coutinggg days till u get back home allah ye7fathch forever. So, i honestly believe that meeting new people adds greatly to our mentality and our lives as human beings.

I also fed my retail therapy needs with a innocent l'il trip to villa moda, the sale is on for club members +e7em e7em clearing her throat+ but instead of using my priveleges as a club member i went straight for the new marni cruise collection that was gng at full retail price! +box me face+ AAAh but how cud i resist them, i can't even begin to describe their new l'il gems, alll those delicious accesories with ropes, gaaawjus lil sandals n electric green flashes all over the place. I am seriously falling head over "peeptoe" heels bout ::MARNI:: and its getting more addictive per season! Funkaaai, i ended up splurging on shoesies with cherry clip-ons and a keyring that can be clipped on to almost anything you wish! thas bout all for now, me exhausted cant wait to use my ticket to DIFF tomm night! awww! make way for me johnny depp! cuz i am coming to rock da show hahahahha!

DUBAI INT'L FILM FESTIVAL

Awww Samsoomah you're such a doll! +me hearts you alotty+ Thanxs for getting that cherry fruit roll up toppy! and thanxs a gazillion for boasting bout it in ur log! hope you make the most outoff it and it makes you shine always and you wear it in good health forever +so cuuuute+ you got me glowing gurlll! Me also made a l'il trip down to Amzaan this weekend to stock up on their yummy new Patched up bottom VonDutch jeans! although i am always a diesel gurly i think my upgrade to ::VonDutch:: was sheeerly healthy i.e If ::VonDutch's:: truck driver fashion trends have taken the entire world by swarm a l'il sting cudn't b harmful ! I also picked up me envelope from ::amzaan:: +secret contents+ and Maisa gave me the funkiest l'il belt as a gift she was like GAWWWD this is so YOU! had to save it! hmm one day i am gnna conduct a research into this whole "this is so YOU" theory, cuz i tend to get it alOOOt! +scratches her head+

Also, The Dubai International Film Festival takes off this week starting from the 6-11th of December, Basically this entire week will be packed with gala red carpet screenings of international award winning films including several U.A.E based films created by local talent! +applauding hysterically+ It's really interesting to witness this cultural event in Dubai as it highlights the importance of bridging culture gaps and spreading awareness and celebrating excellence portrayed through films. I am looking forward to viewing several movies including a few short silent movies. Although, i hate TV, FULLSTOP but ironically i truly enjoy international movies with really artsy choregraphy n scripts! like frida n amelie+fingers crossed+anyhus tickets are running out so do grab ur seats if you're intewested!!

Finally, i wanna send out a huge +WAY TO GO+ to ::lammmy:: ! The true artist behind the DIFF logo! awww so pwetty! as a designer i know how thrilling it is to see your logo rolled out infront of the entire world! mashallah excellent work Lammtara you deserve all the fame in the world! +alll THUMBS N TOES UP TO YA+ wishing you all the best in every step you undertake always! hoo hoo! okay then gtta rush off tooodles to alll! n enjoy your day off!
