Before i dive into this entry I HAVE TO SEND a BEAR HUG to fantastic fashy for the most uplifting and inspiring email in this world! thanxs sooooooo much fashy me cherishing that email to infinty and beyoooond! awwww dmooo3 dmooo3 min ilfara7! *.* i feeel so ezbeshialll thanxs! aaand more thankyou's to everyone who made an effort to contact me n congraulate me on my winter launch i truly truly appreciate your sweet words and it only drives me to deliver mooooore... Honestly,the only time i feel fulfillment is when i know i've drawn smiles on ppl's faces thanxs again to everyone fo being a pat of my joy smile awwwwwwwww and ALAS! my NEW pink sushi fashion website is up n running yup just finalizing the content & credits on my the designer page and we're rockinggggg!

I tagged along with shadsy a few days ago for her eyetest anddddd oofcourse i just couldn't resist not having a go at the whole eye check thingy tooo! Alright, i have a confession to make ... i have a obsession with glasses! all my life i've wanted to adorn shiny framed eyeglasses X.x i knooow i know that soon enuff age will take its turn and i will eventually hafta to wear specs but this crush on spectacles has been stuck within me since intermediate school days O.O LOLZZ! i remeber when we'd have to go for yearly eyechecks at the nurses office and i'd fib my way deliberately by reading out all the wrong letters n numbers! ahahhaha then i'd impatiently await to recieve a prescription stating that i officially needed glasses! oooh the excitement gush i'd encounter and then i'd rush n hand it over to me mama jumping up n down screaming "mama i need glasses" +yeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaa+ and every single time mama wud easily decipher my cunning acts and poof my joy away! lolzzzzz for a while id actually wear un-numbered frames but soon i grew that phase out too wahhahah! ayaaam!!

Anyway, i had a blast at the optician fooling about with the gadgets, creating animal figure-d shadows with me hands, entertaining shadsy and finally getting my eyesight checked to! and this time i actually discovered that my right right eye is weaker than me left! eeeeek ehhehehe but as long as i dnt suffer any headaches as mr.Iqbal stated i shud follow the motto negligence is bliss so i shall carry on living happily with me -0.25 left eye and -0.50 right eye for the timebing afterall being a graphic designer doesn't do any justice to me eyesight heheheheeh! have a great friday all and dont forget to include me in ur prayers alwayyys thanxs

PINK SUSHI WINTER 05

ALRIGHT inhaaaaaaaale and exhaaaaaaaaaale! THEY'RE outttttt +dancing round in circles! round n round n round n round!+ just got my deliveries to amzaan, s*uce & Fivegreen over n done with! NOW they are all setfree to the public all purrrty n waiting to be embraced by all of ya! this collection was one of the most demanding ones till date but the results certainly drew hearts in me eyes and inshallah will do the same to all your twinkly eyes, inspired by my deep rooted love for the emirates and my majestic city DXB! each shirt, charm and belt fuses tradition with funk, fuses our daily terminology and usage of words like ghaawy and kashkha and fuses it into a fashion element! Also, inspired by the feelings i so deeeply cherish from my childhood trips to the freej grocery stores aka baqalaa's and the bright colored crisp pofaki packets, chips min oman, bo bgara candy, daqoos bottles & laban up! these pink sushi tees churn all these memories into one off tops now released in limited numbers, if you grew up in the u.a.e then u'll definately feel the flavour of my winter range aimed at resurfacing our childhood joys and playful colors this range is about all of us >.<

All three stores have been loaded with equal number of gooodies but again each piece has its own spark and is unidentical +one off's make me smile+ the handcrafted chunky charms have been created solely to erupt your inner child and transform any bag you covet into a rainbow of colors, go crazy with it use it as a necklace, clasp onto ur bags or onto ur jeans and if it makes ya hungry then just feel free to eat the hellokitty on it along with the tally wrapped dangling ghitra heart! Finalllly!!! the long awaited tgmme's new issue of theBite Magazine is out! aaaand two of my experimental photography pieces are adorning its glossy printed pages! AWWWW My polaroid transfer titled the Burga'a & I secured the section cover which got me glowing BIG TIME! it's a great feeling when you see your work aside the works of GIANT ADV. moghuls but my humble l'il x-processed, multiple exposed experiments made their way in there too and that sorta makes me feel i've accomplished something no matter how frivolous it may seem i consider it as a major benchmark awww! Thanxs sunny for shining the spotlight my way and thanxs to the friendly team at theBite for giving me the opportunity and medium to expose my art! +candy necklaces 4 all save them for if6aar hee heee+

I've dedicated most of my freetime to finalizing my winter goodies and it won't be long before they crack their way out to all of ya! Along with a microsite to showcase my winter line X.x i am sorta glued onto completing the mini portal that will focus entirely on my fashion label including stockist details, press clippings, a lookbook and a l'il indepth writeup about the ideology behind my brand! it's about time i diverted me fashion into a new realm so wish me luck with these first steps everyone ,thaaanxies! Also, i managed to complete the new corporate look for INK associates and my client an ex-classmate was more than pleased with the outcome, thanxs for choosing me to give birth to your brand and i wish you all the best of luck with Ink Associates

Finally, my addiction to creating polaroid transfers and simply shooting polaroids has been magnified thanks to the birth of POLANOID! a space for polaroid buffs to share their courageous experiments and discusss all there is to do with polaroids including emulsion lifts i'm just loving itttt! ookie then gtta rush buttt before i do whizz out i just have to thank amiri for the adorie hand painted name scroll fresh of the streets of santa monica thanxsss a milllion truly thoughtful of ya! sneezoi n i rubbed it up everyones nose lolzzzzzz! and most importantly with the last ten days of Ramadhan approaching i hafta abuse every precious second of time, my wishes to all n may all our fast be rewarded this year.

WISDOM TOOTH

mood: craving the gym

I've been engulfed with the aura of ramadhan so that should explain the lengthy gap between my last update, the slow pace of events this past week ain't helping either, my wisdom tooth has decided to re-awaken and is clawing its way through my gums +sniff sniff+ it hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrts! and i'm so freaked out about having to get them extracted which as hesham pointed out will transform my face into the size of hellokitty's snifffffff! +throws a fit+ i'd rather bare the pain than fondle over that unpleasant image of me balloon-faced! let's just hope it fades away soon. I know that eventually i'll have to get it extracted considering there's no space for these uninvited molars but right now i dn't want to deal with the whole fuss +criessssss+ come to think of it does anyone know why they're even called wisdom teeth?

I'm busy conceptualizing my funky winter tee's hmm and have embarked on a new freelance job for a local based IT company soon to be launched it's sorta hush hush at the moment but not for loong so i am occupied as always i think i shud fit one of those washroom vacant/occupied switches onto me forehead and then all daaay i'd dream of seeing a green vacant sign up there! anyhuuu's Ironically i just scratched n won 10 burgerking whoppers thanxs to nbd's new promotional campaign LOL! and now to my luck my fast seems alot more agonizing lol! +eeeeeeek dreaming of juicy burjarssss+ lolzzzzz

every ramadhan i get into baking mood! and now the itch is back and its twitching me mind and my tastebuds r envisioning something savoury for if6aar tonight gtta attack me mom's infinite cooking book library! +lights up+Also, I'm feeling very serene thanks to my dedication to attend taraweee7 prayers at the neighbourhood mosque, sometimes i feel we neglect the fact of being gifted with living in a muslim country. It must be so hard for muslims abroad to even find a mosque closeby al7amdullilah for everything i'm so grateful for everything in our lives. Finally, i must must re-emphasize the dangers of our traditional heightened usage of firecrackers during this holy month. I can never ever discard the vision of a7my's BMX shirt ablaze by the flaming sparkler and his screeches of pain.. Its been 15 years since that accident but it was definately a lesson well taught for both of us, look after your siblings and make sure you keep them safe and away from firecrackers n lighters, gunpowder is such a tricky toy to handle so keep a watch out and inshallah all of our family n loved ones are protected in this sacred month.

RAMADHAN KAREEM

The spirit of Ramadhan has entered our lives once again, the moon's been sighted and the sms's are swarming announcing the first day of our holy month of fasting, +embarak 3laikum ilshahr ilfadheel allah iyasir 9yaamkum wuytqabal 3baadaatkum wu kil 3aam wintu ba'alf khair wu salaaama+ I love Ramadhan it's just so different, so pure, so holy, so special, so humble, so fulfilling, so cleansing. With each passing Ramadhan i try to maintain my deeds throughout the year but the intensity of worship during this holy month is just so different. You just want to soak up every second with ur palms raised to allah sub7ana wu ta3ala in prayer. Inshallah this Ramadhan will be filled with joy and noor, inshallah our sincere prayers are accepted and inshallah all muslims around the world are kept safe n protected, the beauty of Ramadhan is that it banishes the boundaries between muslims of all races, status n age. It just makes the world feel so closely knit and heightens your inner conciousness towards the less fortunate let's fill our souls with du3aa's for peace and forgiveness. Also, i'd like to ask forgiveness from anyone out there i might've hurt or upset ever. Ramadan's back again a time for all of us to start afresh let's make the most of it for it cud be our last,

On the other hand i have a mission to complete this October and that is to cuztomize a plain white canvas pretty fit shoe and funk it all up to be auctioned for charity, i am so hyper up about this campaign and i am glad i had the chance to take part in this art frenzy fusing 50 designers from all over the U.A.E hehehhe! i already recieved my pair of wedged platforms n i am all set to drown it into a kaleidscope of pink sushi makeovers lol! the shoes will eventually be displayed in dxb and auctioned for msf charity ! will keep you guys posted about it as it progresses aaaand my winter line will be ready around the mid of this month i hope +drilling meself+

alrightey won't drag this post too long i'll just start dreaming of the upcoming ramadhan goodies harees, ligaiymaat, ummm samosa's, fuschia rose drinks, my aunt's waraq 3inab, my other aunt's date n walnut merengue cake ummmm i am already dreaming foood and its only DAY1 lol! have a joyful month and may all our sins be erased ameen inshallah

With the arrival of October also marks the start of breast cancer awareness month, giant pink ribbons are already sweeping around dubai, and Burjuman's brilliant safe & sound breast cancer awareness campaign in on full throttle, I've never delved into this life-threatening disease but this year will be different for me, i want to learn all there is to know and perhaps even attend a checkup, it's ironic how we keep drilling ourselves with the thought of better safe than sorry but yet neglect it until it's to late. Yesterdays pink walkathon aimed at donating charity for breast cancer research crowded over 1000 ppl all set for a joint purpose to battle ignorance and raise funds to save lives. S*uce has spread out it's pink sisterly wings and launched sparkly crystal studded pink ribbons that are throbbing for you to grasp and adorn. Not only will it look glamorous on your attire the proceeds will also help breast cancer victims, i spent all morning educating myself about this malicious disease that affects 1 outta 9 UAE nationals and i thought it would be share it with all of you, allah ye7fathna min kil shar ameen inshallah.. my prayers are with everyone who's lost a family member to cancer as i have...

Tonight, is the opening night for Concept 5 a mixed media group exhibit by five talented emarati ladies at DLC, maisa will be exhbiting so yeeeeeha can't wait to induldge in your photographs gurllyy! the exhibit will be up for the public from tomm until tuesday so if anyone's in the area do drop by n promote local talent cuz as a local artist i know for a fact that+we need yaaa!+ I also wanna send out a huuuuge thankyou to my inspirational n talented friend tote sweet for inviting me into a beautiful n funky charity project in conjunction with Medicin Sans Frontiers it's gnna be loud and it will gift my label pink sushi with an opportunity to benefit a very worthy cause thanks kooks and thanxs khulood now i am so impatient to recieve me package n get started!! +does da hula dance+
