I wonder how many ppl in the world appreciate food the way i tend to ! most of my immediate peers view food as the enemy !! loool but in my case, somedays i just arise craving to devour some savoury delicacy! i enjoy planning out my meals for the day and discovering new international flavours, i truly don't understand individuals who block out certain foods outta their diets without even tasting such as seafood, cheese, mushrooms, strawberries etc. How can you hate something if you've never digested it?

I ain't much of a dessert person though but surprisingly london has multiplied my sweet tooth shugga pangs! yesterday, it was all about fairycakes topped with creamy icing in bright colors and sugar confetti! yummmy yummmy ! humming bird put a quick fix to that with their mouthwatering cheerful mini-sized decorative cupcakes! with the golden remedy award going to their red velvet cupcake topped with zesty lemon cream cheese icing!! aaaaaaaaah i wish i could just stock up on those divine cakes and ship them all back home with me! but theeen i might end up transforming into a muffin meself! loool noww i wouldn't wanna give my personal trainer nightmares or would i ?!?! sighhhh ... Thanxs aysha for making our paths cross in this lifetime loooool i fallen head over heeels for those hotcakes!

Another, dining lifestyle seems to be missing in dxb till date! A Dimsum bar would top the restaurant lists with mini bite sized steamed delicious snacks! After dining at London's PingPong dimsum i've concluded that it would be the ideal snack place for my short office lunchbreaks ! Their magical jasmine tea was such an entertainer starting off as a spherical seed and blossoming into a beautiful jasmine flower that settled at the bottom of the tall glass and injecting its aroma into the hot water fluid! yuuuuummmy yummmy i think i'll head off for some jasmine tea rightt noww! tooodles peeps i think that's enuff foood talk by me lol!

Every time i jet out for the summer i stand at a point when i crave to be back in dxb with my daily surroundings minus work looool! i am craaaaving hoooome! lol its a plunging homesickness thats anchoring within me and forming such a gripping emotion! hmmmmm i guess it's cuz me mind is preoccupied with a million other aspects garrrr!

last week was a beautiful jumble of events including a trip to LUCKY VOICE woooow! my vocal chords definately burnt out! thankgod the walls were soundproof cuz i wouldnt wanna shatter any glass panes with my top of the pops chart-topping singing voice! lmao! the place was the trendiest karaoke spot ever with touch screen bubblegum pink songlists, a yummilicious bentobox menu and the craziest set of props including neon pink n green fro's n tambourines! looool i wonder if they had a hidden camera snuck into the screen now that would be a million dollar blockbuster video! wahahhaha i bet it wud be so good the chinks wud create pirated versions of our 10 member gurly band dancing insync to michael jacksons thriller hahahahha!!

Also, ive been bombarding my digestive system with krispy kreme doughnuts aaaaaah! ehhehehe i have no idea how they manage to get it so melt in your mouth-y! sugar glazed bliss kudos to krispy kreeeemeeeeees! yummy yummy! taa all enjoy ur remaining summer breaks!

Remeber those mini vintage eighties souvenir plastic viewers! the ones that were shaped like tv sets or mini cameras and had a lil hole to peak into and a button to flick through the slides! i remember the London ones with images of Buckingham Palace, Lady Di, Big Ben, London Buses and other landmarks! Anyhuu i wish i could create my very own toy picture box with these pictures unveiled inside !

Here's an insight into my London's Top Ten To Do List more like my set of rituals ! I might add more throughout the week considering my memory span is abnormally short! heheheh anyhus here r a set of my fav past times..

:: Covent Garden dayout inclusive of munching on a baked potatoe loaded with coleslaw and sweetcorn and a grand tour of Neil Street independent boutiques + Unwinding at Neil's yards trendy l'il cafe's..
:: A stroll through Portabello St. on a weekend morning digging through the antique finds and eating fairycakes at Humming Bird yuuuuummmmm!
:: Selecting ultra british-y postcards in Piccadilly Circus souvenir stores and getting them stamped at the post office to b sent off to my fav ppl in dxb.
:: A trip on the British Rail Train to Brighton Beach for some scrumptious Scampi n chips loaded with tartare sauce, Delelelcious Rock CAndy and a ride on the gigantic pony carousel!
:: Camden Market day out exploring this masssive marketplace with the biggest vintage market you can ever imagine flavoured with fresh chocolate dipped strawberries and spicy falafel sandwiches on the bridge.
:: Moroccan tea-ing with friends in momo's at Heddon St.
:: Visting The Tate Modern and gazing at psychedellic maraliyn monroe neon pop art originals by Andy Warhol.
:: Dining at The Magic Wok in Queensway and devouring their sweet n sour chicken with egg fried rice yuuuuuuummmmmmmy!
:: Carnaby Street / Petticoat Lane shoe hunting always leaves me with a gigantic smile.
:: Spending hours in Foyles Graphic Design department flicking through the books for hours n hours...
:: Munching on a Pret a Manger sandwich in Regents Park topped with a 99 Flake vanilla icecream from an icecream van..

Sub7aan allah .. I'm always mesmerized by the way the world evolves over time... It was only a couple of yrs ago when Dubai was a notorious l'il city, hidden amidst the golden desert sand dunes! Nowadays, when i claim "i'm from Dubai" the surge in excitement and acknowledgment of my hometown is inevitable! Yesterday, i was taken aback when i saw Dubai Holding flags lined up along the entire Harrods storefront! Wow, am i imagining things? or is my city living up its dream to meet up with advancing world cities and pivoting its projects on the global forefront! truly truly truly impressive mashallah , Allah ye7fathch my charming Dubai u never seize to amaze me with your charms ...

Carnaby Street highlighted my day yesterday with impeccable vintage shoe finds yipppeeee!! Ah how i adore the energy of that street and its yummy inspirational finds in the non-conformist young budding british fashion designer stores scattered around Kingly court! My target this summer is to saturate my palette with colors, fabrics and patterns so there's a ton of additional exploration set my way yuppeeee! i.e. All in aid of my upcoming fall/winter line ...Think vintage, volume and embelishments.. I also noticed the massive belt trend swarming round the waists of London fashionistas! I am still struggling to come to terms with it! hehehehehe not my cuppa tea i sayyy!

Other, than that devouring Laduree's vanilla/pistachio flavoured macaroons in Hydepark +minus the green grass due to draught+ are making me knees weak and enhancing my calorie intake by gazillions! To die for heavenly sweet treats but then again nothing comes slightly close to chinky's flava yummy yummy yummy......

LONDON-ING

I dunno if i've ever touched on my deep inborn love for this city! whether its those bulky buses painted in blobs of glossy ruby red paint, or the way the entire population seems to be all wound up with attitude issues lmao oooh how i love triggering that off !! or the yummzaih british accent or the lil fresh flowers that line up window sills aginst red brick walls or even the fact that this city is just buzzing with fashion. I think ppl develop a love/hate relationship towards London but in my case its loving all the waaaaaay! ya baibeee!

Sifting through the highstreet stores its evident that the fashion scene is on a serious vintage high! so purrrty with waist belts and flowy knee length dresses matched up with black knee length tights i am digging the loook ! especially, the mini puffy waist length giant buttoned detective jackets straight outta the seventies! fantabulousss i saaaay! also, i am loving the fact that i am abusing this stray internet connection hahahah! dunno where that came from >.< ! lmao!!

Anyhuus, my food frenzy has kick-started as well with delicious beautifully decorated cupcakes fresh off the selfridges food hall counter and munching on mezze's n olives all evening at mamounia lounge with hip, fashion forward n wild meyaaaaaaam and our very own version of queen rania the princessy nyxx! Aite, it's time for Frosties , Tony is getting impatientt n i gtta catch up on some reading tooodlies!
