What's up with the flu's n colds this years it seems as though i've been recieving extra dosages of both arghh! wow me immune system is reallly working out its fighter antibodies over the last few months! It is common that the entire Dubai population gets bitten by the contagious cold virus at a certain time especially with the start of summer, but for some reason a7iss these cold n virus bouts have increased in our atmosphere hmmm! due to strange strange circumstances !

Last week's been a hectic gala of events including visiting the LATIFA COLLEGE exhibit titled Perceptions at the third line galllery! i was so impressed with the quality of prints on display and fell in love with a series by Shamma Alameri using a pinhole camera with a polaroid back! for those of ya who are interested in learning about pinhole photography u can read a lil about it here! I couldnt resist her b&w blown up polaroid shots and ended up adopting a piece with an abnormally distorted labourer against the burj dubai construction site! This show is a must visit it might be small yet the variety of pieces is enticing! u go gurls mabroook to all of ya on ur show and all my warm wishes to all you gurlies! Local artists deserve all the credit in this planet ! yeyyy also the show will be up until the JULY 10th so if u're around the area drop on in and support their talent!

Other than that spending last weekend with kitty witty, and getting introduced to Armani Lab and her ultra coool sistazz got me on an instant roll! wow didnt expect to have such a bang but as always the kitty witty effect is always surprising and spontaneous! yeeey can't wait to reconnect! also, i happened to attend the most disastrous training prgramme i've ever experienced in my entire lifetime! Although, the subject Project Management truly appealed to me considering its so far fetched from my conecntration i was so dissapointed and battled with boredom for 4 days in a row! The instructor was in a seriously bad condition in regards to personality/teaching skills and treated my colleagues and me as kindergarten students demanding full atttention the entire time! ofcourse, the end result was a domino effect by my team and i in retaliation against evil Mr. Aby hahahahahha! oh well atleast we resurrected our own version of madrast ilmushaghbeen ! hahahahahahha

Finallly i must must wish SAMSOOMAH a giant happpy birthdayy awww cheeers hugss squeeeze! where's urr facee i wanna crush it so tight hehehe! aaand before i exit here's some nostalgia i relived recently +wink wink+

3 KNOTS

Alas ! it arrived! a tattered white envelope alll creased and abused with my name scribbled on it aaalll the way from Rio de Janeiro , Brazil! the package was compiled beautifully by Alice Batelli a Brazillian handbag designer! we came up with a theme to swap craft packages that reflected our country! So i was automatically transported to Brazil when i ripped up the envelope and unfolded sunny yellows, emerald greens and Saphire Blues. I had almost lost hope of ever recieving her pack considering it was sent out all the way back in april +sniff sniff+! But i was ecstatic when it finally reached early this week much to my surpriiiizzzzzeeeee hoooot hooot!

Aight, considering its perfect timing to recieve the pack with the kick off of the FIFA WORLD CUP 2006! i am adorning my new Brasil tee and cheeering for her country with full force! yuuuup dont you just looove the world cup its like the war of the worlds! hahahhaha and football hooligans are everywhere its like everywhere i turn i encounter foootball, foootball n more foootball fever! I wonder which teams you guys r cheeering for?

Anyway, the best item in my swap pack other than the shimmery Brazillian carnival outfit fabrics has to be the Fitinhas Do Bonfim silk wrist ribbons. I conducted a lil research and discovered that these silk ribbons are tied round the wrist for goodluck! They are sold in a city called Bahia in Brazil. People believe that it grants you 3 wishes as long as you make 3 knots onto the ribbons and then wear it round your wrist until it falls of or disintegrates on its own! ehheheheh i've wrapped me green fita at present along with my 3 wishes !! and it loooks purrrrrty! even Lindsay has one lol i wonder how long it's gnna be before i pull it off though cuz i ain't into supersitious stuff >.< hahahahah! aight thats all for now enjoy the world cup while i try to control my hots for him awww doesn't he rock!! Cant wait for the release in dxb !

An urge to update! so why stop meself! ITS SALE SEASON! hooot hoooooot! +ps. slashed pricetags give me an instant high+ Ironically, my NBD visa electron card decided to simply self-destruct this morning even before its magnetic strip starts getting raped during sale season by atm machines and credit card swiping gadgets! -chuckling- I think it's one of two signs A a sign that either my debit card is developed an immunity towards me retail therapy demands or B she's plain sick n tired of being slashed a billion times and is sorta developed a split personality character to get back on full throttle at perfect timing! arghhhhhhhhh!!! i hate technology hehehehe cash rocks!

On the bright side of things Villa moda's discounts are driving dxb fashionistas into a state of madness, my prooof: this morning the jeans bar area looked like scenic sand dunes compiled outta mountains of seven 4 all mankind, rock and republic, true religion, joe's and tons of more fancy shmansy denims piled up like a garbage dump !! a sight not to be missed luckily i groped onto me already reserved pair of skinnnny, skinnny superfine grey blondie pair of kate moss style drainpipes thankgooodnesss for whoever created the concept of putting things on hold! Thumbs up to ya!! my superfines turned out to be a perfect fit alll set to compliment my killer heel glittery bright red Dorothy from the wizard of oz thuuusies! aaaah sales are so exciting!! don't you just love them? why can't everything on the planet be on a neverending sale that would invoke endless "feeel goood" vibes! garrrrrrrr

Okaik is it just me or ED HARDY diamonte encrusted baseball caps are the IT-thing with our local swarm of emarati shabab - secretly coded n termed by me and my gal friends as +meee3las+ i mean u step into Mall of Emirates and its an Ed Hardy cap parade! although i am in love with my baby pink tiger diamonte' encrusted feminine version i kinda find it disturbing to see male lochals in kandoora's with shiny bling bling crystals popping ontop of their heads! hehehehe i wonder whats next? rhinestone's on kandoora collars and cuff's arghhhhhh! i was happpier when they were all in von dutch mode alas i'm sure i'll end up digesting the fad in a while and perhaps get a7my one too! ehehhehe life's weird it's so twisted how ideologies flip via brainwashing n marketing! anyway i shud be the last person to complain being a fashion victim n all +sob sob+ oooh n before my goldfish memory fails me for the millionth time i must point out that this blog is simply amazing! i am like hooked onto it! Oh n on friday i met the Yummiest most wanted Purple dinosaur in this world! yup Non other than Barney the obese purple/greeen dino with the cheeekiest n wobbliest belly in this world! hehehehehe okay i tried to hide me excitement alongside the kiddies at the birthday party but deeep down inside there was a voice screaching +omggggggggggg it's barneyyyyyy isn't he da bomb+ hehehehehehhe ! okay i am offf! it's soooomy's birthday todayyyyy hooot hooot gtta celebrate! no time to waste!

This entry is a bit of a shuffle a twisted take on three stories , ultra random events +guaranteed to please mimosa my samosa+ and a cross between fiction + non-fiction.

The Flat Tyre
We whizzed along the beach road flustered in search of 239! the rows of identical copy/pasted villas stood still on both sides much like green plastic minature monopoly house figurines! Daymmnn i announced "we missed the house againnn sara!" and then the car jolts as we scrape against a bright red road cone! the wheels keep turning followed by thumping noises errrrrm she says " DO YOU HEAR THAT NOISE?" , me : "what noise? omg!!! that noise!! are we dragging a flaming red plastic conctruction cone with us?" hahahahahah .... an hour after an intensive giggle session we finally decide to step out and study the damage ! Our eyes pop out and we stand startled along with the now formed victory team baqala audience from kerala to unveil a flat tyre! HAHAHAHAH with two exclamation marks pasted across our foreheads and totallly no clue about how to replace a flat tyre we opt for option deux i.e. an emergency calll out to a7my to save our not so ordinary day! awww my superherooooo ! lol okay lesson number #1 I NEED FLAT TYRE REPLACEMENT COURSES! urgggggggently hhahahahah!

A CLONED DU?
As she snored at ease in her lazy slumber, she raged on 'n' on for years about her pathetic monopoly in the errupting diverse city of Dubai. Her sleep was disrupted actually a few months ago as DU etched its prescence with a corporate identity that made her predecessor look as old school and outdated as its services! It was the birth of a new telecommunication era targeted at us the youth, an awakening to the rise of a new competitor with a strong, beautiful, solid brand filled with energy and promise! All of a sudden, she was engulfed in the forceful tide of an enemy swept ashore. The end result! a HILLARIOUS ad campaign much similar to the graphical interface and concepts of its enemy pasted all over above the line and below the line advertising media in dxb! their slogan reads out reach! which is quite ironic considering how original they think they are by outsmarting their opponent using the same ad agency, same customized arabic font, and same layout... Pro's of this new competition more benefits for us the end users thanxs to the fierce battle to provide attractive packages and a lift in graphic design mentality. Atlast, they erased those nasty billboard etisalat layouts using used and abused stock photography! ... PHEWWWW! we need more EYE CANDY plz!

STRAWBERRY JAM FROSTED SUGAR DONUT
A donut ooozing with pink strawberry jam filling ! It was a special donut minus the central hole! not a perfect circle either dusted with snow-like white frosted icing sugar! decieved by its outer appearance i munched onto the chocolate eclair instead! but then she reappeared and made her way to my tastebuds.. sparkles gleamed in me eyes! +tasssssssssstyyyyyy+ i wanted more hehehehe we shared it to the very last dot of icing sugar left, hehehehe dusted the white powdery mustache it deposited with a napkin and indulged into its flavour. I am in love once again with stawberry jam filled frosted sugar donuts! heheheheheh I'd be so lonely without dunkin donuts thankgooodnesss for whoever invented donuts! They rock hardyy harr harrrr! ... thanxss for redrawing me smile i +heart+ you.

Update::
::i am so inspired and in love with tsumori chisato's creations! i wanna be in aoyama tokyo and sift through her magical fairytale inspired pieces right now.. god she rocks!
