Mabroook to the Electrocutionist representing our beloved U.A.E for snapping the Dubai world cup hooot hooooooooot! a true stallion and franky dettori is such an ace jockey clap clap clap! i was so engulfed into the tv-set i even had illusions of invisible reigns as the horses galloped towards the finish line! Oh my sweet Dubai u make us so proud! yeyyyyyyyy! mabrooook to all of us for this giant victory!

Yesterdays pathway to yoga class on the beach was fantastic! apart from my inability to stay quiet or serious for long periods of time i managed to excel at my concentration skills and muted meditation lol! perhaps it was the smell of the green grass that got to me head or the crashing waves in the distance or my need to supersaturate me soul with positive energy +hmphh+ all i know is that i was warped into my sun santana postures and adopted the breathing techniques at perfect ease! in those 60mins i evolved from a plank to a crocodile, a kobra, a breathing cat, a downward dog and finally me favourite position the locust with the sole of ur foot and toes pointing up towards the starry sky! Although, yoga is not my definition of a workout considering i crave high impact, adrenaline pumping exercise sessions it was fulfilling in a different way and involved some great stretching methods to alleviate muscles and aid sufficient blood circulation. All in all I'm certainly looking forward to round two and battle some karma!!!

The kiddy widdy tee's are almost set! 70% of the junior girlyyy girl range is ready at present for lollypop! yeeehaaaaa! i am in love with the katkooty range and all i wish for is to turn into a mini fashionista just to squeeze into the hip tee's with adorie slogans ... awwwwww ps. i hope to surprise all of ya with shots in me next post but first i gtta hunt down some of me baby cuzzies for a photoshoot heheheheh! any volunteeeeers? pretty please? loool! Me sewing room is in a bit of a mess these days considering i just finalized some summer tee's for my stockists including umkulthoom tops at s*uce and hopefully some more embelished clutches for the summer! i also had to send out more swap packages around the globe this time i'm involved in a swap to taiwan, argentina and the states can't wait to recieve more gooodies yeeeeey! snail mail always makes me dayyyyy!

Finally, on friday 6 of my double exposed lomography shots will be displayed at the DOUBLE EXPOSE exhibition the opening will take place at trilogy's rooftop terrace and will later shift on to fivegreen and be up on display for a month! Thanxs hind for organizing the entire show u honestly did a great job and i crown u as the lomo queen! also thanxs to James for the great coverage in emirates today newspaper! yeyy my shots got published in the news today hooot hoooooot! will post tons of pix of the event inshallah tooodlies! and as the 7 dwarfs chant in the fairytale "hi ho .. hi ho .. it's off to work we go" will post tons of pix of the event inshallah tooodlies for now!

I have an addiction! and its sorta getting outta control! I've been OD'ing on Golden Crispy Crunchy Hello Kitty imprinted toast! LOOOOOOOL! the evil carbs are suddenly oh so delicious n oh so tempting as long as sanrio's smiling right back at me as i crunch into the fionka ontop of her head! Lol i've tried every possible edible combo with various toast thickness and spreads including spicy sundried tomatoes, black olives spread, honey, Nutelllaa ummmm, kiri, sliced cheese u name it and i've munched on it this weeek BUT khalaaaaaas hahahaha its time to cut down on my kitty toast pangs before i TOAST my braincells! heheheheh again thanxs kittywitty n samsoomah for gifting me with such a miraculous invention ! heheheh +screeching+ i heart ittttttt!

I spent last night at a bacholerette partaihhhhhh! in tribute to our adorie bride to be Khulooooood! awwwww Clappity clap clappp! i think i bounced me brains outta its place at the rate of jumping up n about i performed! heheheh the Theme for the sizzling night was Moulin Rouge n everyone was draped in reds n saucy black beaded necklaces n feathery soft feathers! I wish you alll the happpiness in the world gurlyyyyyy and may ur new life be everything u ever wished for and the start of eternal content n baraka! mabroooooooook dollly! huggggggggs u tightttttt!

Samsooomah left me startled yet again when she spotted a feature about my ghitra bags featured in 34 Magazine an ultra trendy n well graphic designed fashion magazine based in Turkey and NewYork! Lol my initial reaction! "LAAAAAAAAAA UR JOKINGGGGGGGGG! "hahahhaha second reaction racing off to spinnneys grabbing not one but two copies cuz i am a l'il bit of an OCD sorta person! ahahahaha! The article was zzzzuuuuuuuper all about 34 different types of chic scattered n collected from around the middle east region and PINK SUSHI bags made it to the Ghitra chic slot! hooot hooot! Lucy from the thirdline musta poppped about my label and i am reallly flattered to have been included in the cover feature! Thanxsssssssy u rockkkkkk! yey!

okie i gtta runn off have 20 kiddie tops laying about to embellish for Lollypop! awwwwwww can't imagine lil katakeeet in pink sushii inshalllah! have a great weeeek alll!

This week is been brimming with milestones actuallly its beeen overflowingggggg with them! Thursday night i was swept off my feet when my Pink Sushi fashion website was crowned with a gold trophy for being the BEST UAE ART/FASHION WEBSITE! yupppppp i was likeee whooooooo ? meeeeeeee? gooooooold? hehehehehhehe kitty n sams shared the moment with me while i trotted up on stage and was flashed by random presss ppl and walked up to the lil mike and thanked the uae web awards organizers. Every time i re-run that moment i envision myself dreaming but then i glance over to me book shelf and catch a glimpse of my glistening trophy to snap back into reality mode. aaah This is the first trophy i've ever received in my entire life i trulyyy felt honoured to be recognized by such big shot sponsors including dubai internet city, bsa and microsoft. Furthermore, the highlight was the fact i was up against fierce webdesign agencies such as omnia, arc media and flipcorp. It must've been the humour associated with my webbie pulsing with Emarati kitsch that bagged the GOLD AWARD! and it simply felt wonderful to be up there ... somewhere ... ! hooot hoot al7amdullilah for everything and special thanxs to everyone who played a role in building my webbie especially to dexter for supporting me endlesssly and shaji3ing me to register my site. Thankyou a milllyyoooooooooooooan !!! im gnna jump of a clifff now!!

Milestone number 2 finallly recieving the time magazine style and design issue with an entire paragraph about my fashion label! yuppp its alll out there for the globe exposed to an international audience my lil homebusiness has made ittt! heheheh i loved the feature thanxs to nof n al3nood for recommending my label ! I am truly lucky to be surrounded with supportive friends like you gurliesss! squeeezes ur cheeeeeeeeeks! the whole issue focused on global shopping trends and marion hume author of The Fashion Pack interviewed me while she was passing through dxb to find out more about my ghitra creations. I can't believe it got published in the spring 2006 issue alasssssss ! thumbsss upppppp everyoneeee!

Milestone #3 OFFFICIALLLLY celebratinggggggg kitttywittty's birthday with sams after a long awaiteddd span of time THE RESULT crazy fun with the craziest gurls evahhhhh! huggggggggggggs i really havent laughed so hard in ages i honestly felt me tummmy cud pop like a yellow smiley faced balllooooooon! heartsssssss andd my bigggest moment of the weeek the gigantic LOOT of japanese gooodies from their hip trip to japan topped with a HELLOKITTY toasterrrrrrr! hahahah just wait till fix the voltage setting ill be living on toast 3 meals a day gurlsssssssss! hehehe halllooooo carbs come to maa maaa! hahahahhaha cheeers .....

Firstttttt before u even blink ur precious gaaawjus eyes i must unveil the dusty murky curtains and announce that FASHYYYYYYYYY! is baaaaaack yupp wipe ur lil eyes cuz her journal has been pumped back to life! awwwwww clapppping endlesssly "go fashyy goo fashyyy !" hahahahah i am so excited considering she's the most enticing blogger on the block and without her fashion ramblings my life ain't so ra-ra and bouncy! But all that is over cuz the gal with a tin of shop-a-holic mints in her giant camel balenciaga baggy is back on track ! alaaaaaaaasss wooo woooo +that annoying voice+ by dr.phil whoever he posssibly may be is back with a band hehehehhe! huuuuuuuuuuugs u n massages ur cranky shoulder!

My colleague lent me a book titled The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding for the weekend cuz he felt i'd find it ultra useful and although i've only been through a few pages the buzz of its underlying laws n concepts about building noticeable brands in the vicous clutter of massmedia is fantabulous, ethhhh-peshiallly for thosee of you who are into media n marketing this paperback is essential!!

Round up of events over the last couple of days included a drive down to the thirdline to check out their latest exhibit by Laleh Khorramian i enjoy taking timeout to do random things like sitting in the fabric tent inside the exhibition hall and watching the artists surreal scribblings in her animation piece titled chopperlady. Her work unravelled stories n characters you'd encouter in fantasy novels her pallette of colors were mainly monotones and filled with hidden characters something like the fdhoooly in majlat majid basicaly the more u stared at her pieces the more it warped you to see her hidden elements ! I spent a good amount of time observing her artwork and left the gallery after i consumed the spirit of her pieces and energy of her scribbled line drawings. For those of you who are interested the show will be running up until March 2oth so if ur somewhere round alquoz pop in n give it a l'il peek !

Another exciting tit-bit was discovering that my lil brand was mentioned between the opening lines of the Time Out Dubai 2006 Shopping Guide ! YEEEEEEEY the thrilll of acknowledging my Pink Sushi brand and the acclaim its recieving wants me to spread my arms out wide and strangle everyone in sight! +starts jumping like a jack in the box+ AAAnd to add up to my thrills my swap package from thistletown in Canada arrived this morning! awwwwww the hello kitty goodies in the pack were tortureeeeeeeeee i wanted to eat them all n the hot pink strawberry pokky is so purrrty i just wanna gaze at it like it was a picasso piece! i loved her attention to details and sealing star shaped glitter onto the package i felt it was packed by a helllokitty fairyqueeen with the most gaawjus handwriting in the world awwwwwww highhhh fiveeeeeeeee'ing yaaa and thanxs for my lil handcrafted eva the kitty cat i shall be showing her all around dxb this week and she's soo lovingg dubaii alreadyyyy! thanxssssss againn claireeeee!

Happpy belated International Women's Day gurliesssssss! paints everyones palms with fresh Pink Paint! yalla start stamping all wallls in sight ! yeeeeeeaaaah! Although, I think that having a single day isn't adequate enuff to celebrate the joys of being a Woman and all the glory it beholds ! but anyway that ain't my calll lol!! Soo If i had to award anyone on this prestigious day it would be non other than my MAMA! yup without doubt she's my inspiration and aspiration i heart youuuuuuuu!

This week's been so spontaneous first i recieved my delelellecious green pack from Carla owner of atelier fio de nylon +faints+ her swap package from PORTUGAL was brimmed with all things greeen! compiled deliberately to make all individuals turn green with envy lol! +meanies rock+ the pack even included a 2die4 handcrafted hellokitty brooche which i felt was ultra thoughtful of her awwwwww! but nothing could beat the green portuguese gorilla chewing gum pack ! i've been swept away by the talented people in portugal now i am cravinggggggg a holiday over to their end to splurge on their local handcrafts and notorious brands like story tailors thanxs Rita for the link it was truly inspirational! and as for my global swap update i am all impatient to recieve more packs from Taiwan, Canada n the states! yeyyyyyyyyy!

OOOh n then spontaneous crime#2 included a sneak escape runaway during office hours for an ultra tingling fluffy hot chockie session with my cubicle buddies. It's at those tiny moments that u relish the joys of being back in schoool and escaping in our uniforms using a counterfeit sick leave pass to buy junk from the dkaaan n sneaking back in seamlesssly lol! totally lost those charms now heheheheh!

As for the perfect ending to my week it must be Shahi hammering me to grab a copy of the latest issue of Emirates Woman with Oscar winner Reese Witherspooon spread across the shiny cover and flipping impatiently to page 131 only to find my label mentioned in Fivegreen's Best Buy list ! awwwwww spinsss about like aerobatic whizzing planes! heee heee !

Adobe - exMacromedia Freehand MX rocksss! its conquered my life and squeezed itself deep into my hearty! awww i am still steering the wheels to get a grip of all the tools but for the time being i've tied the knot with the trace tool and said my goodbyes to the illustrator pen tool! I am vectorizing and illustrating everything single jpg file saved on my hard disk! hehehe its got ultra hip tools for those of you who are infactuated by graphic design and even though i might be the last person to discover freehand's potential i just had to share it with all of yaaa! tryy it outtt asap! akieee aaand U MUST MUST MUST visit nyxxie's brand new online gurly gurly webbie it's so her huggggggggsss mabroookkk SMOOCAKES is a masterpiece in progress! hurrrrahhh !!! Other than freehanding and wishing i cud warp myself to harajuku i've been tied up with a new corporate identity job that is brimming with ultra retro n seventies groovy vibes it was a steep climb to the top but my final proposal is smooth sailing forwards yeyyy! can't wait too announce it once i am donee!
