I awoke today thinking my windows were being attacked by supernatural forces! Lol my bedrooom was flaming alight by the crackling lightening streaks and me fuzzy morning brains were flabbergasted + i.e my word of the week + hoo hoo rain atlasttt mabrook 3laikum ilra7ma its about long last we had some rainfall this yr! can't wait to see the news headlines tomm morning Thunderstorm hits Dubai! lol accompanied with candid shots of shiny happy people splashing in the rain! Sometimes i wonder if any other country writes features about rainfall in their daily newspapers lol! i just heart dubai sometimes i just wanna squeeeze it so tighttt and munch on its cheeeks!! welll it's still pouring round here as i post this entry but mos prolly it'll reside soon and then my beautiful shiny mr.sun +as barney puts it+ will pop up and spray us with sunrayssssss! yeeeehaaaaaaa

I've been sending out n recieving alot of mail from around the globe lately! ANDD the thrill of taking part in these international mail swaps is massssiveeeeeee! I am over the moon about the arrival of my package to quellenight in milano-Italy! awwww here's some shots he posted after recieving my arabic paper clippings! my handcrafted envelope finally made it after 4 lengthy weeeks +pheeeeeeeew+ i guess thats the joy behind recieving stamped post u never know how many hands have handled it until it reaches it final destination! Another craft swap package that arrived was from candlemomo in HongKong! Now this package was the tops she loaded it with adorie handcrafted hairpins, a blue glass ring and a beaded brooche from her accesory line Candlelight - Hong Kong i loved the way she compiled the package and garnished it with cute postcards and a lil note with kawaii illustrations on it and her cheerful handwriting scribbled in blue hoping that i enjoy her precious items ! awwwwwww can't wait to post her some pink sushi goodies it feels great to branch out and i am looking forward to my upcoming craft swaps from Canada, and portugal !!!

Now comes the part about my never ending hair story! Lol considering me hair has been through every imaginable color on the l'oreal color wheel and every cut imaginable including my much publicized mohawk / 80's rockstar razor cut last yr at Toni n Guy. My mission to recouperate back into sober healthy hair mode has been endless! +sighh+ i know i have no one to blame but meself afterrr all what was i thinking when i showed Joe a print out of Jem n The Holograms and bravely announced that i wanted her DO! loooooool it was fun though abusing bedhead hairgunk and having strands that were unidentical in length aaand strands that wud simply stand spiked up like a cockatoo parrot! lollll alassss i can finally announce that i am on me way to rapunzel locks noww and have made an oath to never ever everrr play games with me hair again! yupp i've learned me lesson the hard wayy ! +snifflies+ perhaps one day illl wake up and finally have giant locks like pony hairrrr oooh how id like thattttt! heheheheh

Romeo oh Romeo

"But soft ! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the East and Juliet is the sun! Arise fair sun and kill the envious moon"

Gracefully setup in the Madinat Jumeira Theatre the Romeo & Juliet Ballet was trimmed with elegantly dressed ladies in their sequenced glitzy tops, and pretty little aspiring ballerina's dressed in pink fairy dresses with soft baby pink mohair trimmings and tiara's. The mood at the matinee screening was beckoning ballet with all its elegance.

Since childhood i've been infactuated with ballet, the frilly tutu's, the crisp ribbons of ballet shoes wrapped round your ankles, the sleek combed hair tied back into a perfect bun it simply epitomizes my fondness for shimmering ballerinas and the glamour associated with the art of ballet. Alaaaasss that childhood dream dispersed with my acknowledgement of my unflexible joints +eeek+ and my mom's theory that ballerina's remain petite for life... looooool so instead i followed the footsteps of Steffi Graff and took up tennis as a sport! However, everytime a Ballet is in town i feel that gushhhh for fluttery tiptoe twirls and insync pouncing tutu's.

Sinking into my strategically positioned seats i indulged into the performance by the russian ballet performers, their harmony, their grace, the humour , the rage all illustrated through body language and dance. Gawwwwd i can't imagine what it must be like to seal a proffesion in ballet the practise it takes for percision and perfection! +gaaasp+ It's magical though how an entire literary piece by Shakespeare was portrayed through ballet and music. The props, costumes and masquerade masks were gaaaaaaaaaawjussss! the entire ballet was seamless and Romeo n Juliet were fuelled with their passion for one another until the very end. all i hafta add is the show was worth every second of itt soo dn'tt misss itttttttttt!

other than THAT, Kiiiiiittttttttttttttttyyyyy wittttyyy's grown a yr older yupppppppp! soo HAPpppppyy birthdayyyyy kitttttttttenn hugggggsss u so hard till u can't function lol! u place hearts in my eyesies! wink wink anddddddd u haftaa get well soon cuz i am warning ya i have HIGH impact entertainment set your wayyy! soo makee wayyyyyyyyyyyyy ! looool huuuuuuuugsssss let's sing forrr kittteeeeeen!

ICDL CERTIFIED

+pomp pomp+ I did it!! i got me a driving License lol and not just any driving license !! But an international one! youu heardd meeeeee! lol Yup i am officially proud to announce that i am Computer literate as stated by my fancy ornamental bordered International Computer Driving License Certificate bearing my name in bold arabic calligraphy! +i feels all fancy+ Lol but considering all the obstacles i had to face such as recieving the wrong study materials, finding out my exam date was in two days and attending zero training courses i am quite proud i actually managed to pass in flying colors +pats her own back+ hee hee but then again i think most of us know how to gear up into Drive mode and whizz off onto the powerpoint, excel, word and windows speedways so maybe i am over fluffing my recently acquired skills looool! but still being a gaphic designer and a mac user having to sit for this exam was quite pointless hmphhh but alassss rules are rules and we must abide !

I've been keeping meself extremely preoccupied with various errands lately including finalizing new Pink Sushi bright n wacked out spring summer tee's with rainbowbright gng berzerk and hip new Emarati badges, aaand i am toggling three freelance graphic design jobs that are simmering in the Pink Sushi cauldron, aaaand i hafta complete a few special orders for me clients. So basically i've got me hands all full but i havent failed to squeeze in time for my RETAIL THERAPY sessions! Honestly, me friends have threatened to confiscate my plastic shiny glossy cards this month! but its worked wonders! its reallly hillarious actually cuz i gtta sneak shop now to avoid their n me mama's "U SHOPPED AGAIN?" threats loooooool! but i just can't stop gazing at all the RED fashion goodies, and the sailor stripes and sailor bermudas and and and ... i guess i am trying to justify my splurges hehehhehhe

Other than that i finally managed to watch Memoirs of A Geisha based on Arthur Goldens best selling novel, Although i read the book ages ago all i could remember was that it was a magnificent read +boxes her goldfish memory's nose+ Anyway the animated version of the book lacked the small details such as the vivid details and descriptions of the ornate silk kimonos and how you could visualize delicate embroidered threads in your mind by the author's usage of gracefully strung adjectives, but all in all the movie was beautifully coined together and extremely well produced and choreographed! Personally, it is one of the only movies worth appraisal and viewing after quite an elongated period of lame Hollywood movies. The movie warped me to the streets of Gion in Kyoto, where i roamed last spring to spot real Geishas with my camera lens and snooooped into a few of the dark lined tea houses! Japanese culture is so intriguing i could delve into it forever, ooh n i absolutely adored the final narrative at the end of the movie it just struck me senses so deeply i just loved its strength ... A beautiful movie and a must watch ...

ps. thanxs to alll of u for leaving me such kindhearted n supportive words, you truly are my stars and all of u made me twinkle all bright once again ... thanks it feels good to be back ...
