10 yrs ago i caught a falling star, it landed straight into my small palms... at first i was hesitant to embrace its glow but soon it evolved into an essential element in my life, over the years i held onto the star in my tight fists and kept it hidden for my eyes to devour only, i named it my special star, my indispensable star, my star light that beamed me with happiness and smiles, it was what i cherished most in my everyday life... what i yearned for ... yesterday i untangled my fist to reveal my precious star and to my dismay my star had gone shedding behind its grey dust .. i realized that it was time for my star to soar free in space once again and share its glow upon another ..

sometimes we want things so bad it blinds us and when we flutter our eyes back open its already gone ...

thats all for this post i need to take some time off.... until i catch another star

SMALL THINGS

The cheeziest song seems to have knotted its notes into my brainwaves, Honestly, i am clueless where it sprawled up into me head from and it's steeering on autopilot loops! arghhhh the home and away theme song just won't exit +garrrrrrr+ i think it's time for some serious brainwashing nowww eeeeeek ...

Small thoughtful gestures have been highlighting me week, speedy a.k.a minnie mouse + although she argues that they share no resemblence+ personally wrapped n gifted me with the most gaaawjus n largest mettalic gold "bonbon-eh" i've ever laid me eyes upon ! wrestling with the crispy wrapper, revealed a pair of the most reflective mermaid scaled n spangly glitzy thuuuuuusies! a high that cud only be deciphered by the gigantic smile that stretched across me face and unveiled my entire set of toothies that is being scrubbed thrice a day with sensodyne gentle whitening tooothpaste LOL! gift giving is an art every one can master whether its a pack of hubbabubba orange flavoured bubblegum, a greeting card, a set of flourescent markers, or something you handcrafted its bound to sprout vibrant rainbows in the heart of the reciever over n over again. I feel such tiny things enhance our daily lives and no matter how menial it may seem it always proves to be a token of caring. think about it ... the glossy reflection of wrapping paper ... the unknotting of ribbons ... the gush of adrenaline .... the smile on ur face ... small things that invoke magical sentiments all of us cherish.

I was also thrilled to recieve quellenight's handmade collage using cutouts from a catalgoue he picked up from the oldest rundown prada store in milan, the prescence of the red n white duvet stripey print on the card reminded him of my fashion label so he intricately weaved it into a a4-sized card pasted with juxtaposed fantasy images of me surrounded in me lil bubble to inspire me with my creations, that was the most thoughtful gesture i've encoutered till date ... thankyou for lifting my spirits

STAR DUST

Dust is blanketing dxb today and while i was grgr'ing to sneezoi she pointed out that this dusty weather state used to be named as ghbaar ilnujoom i.e stardust by the older generations inhabiting the U.A.E. Supposedly, stars that have exploded in space or deteriotated over time lower their dust particles into our airspace at this time of the year and is usually immediately followed by rainfall to sweep all the stardust away. it's like a fantasy snowglobe actually where we are surrounded with tiny star remainders or perhaps its just a mini desert sandstorm lol!

I spent most of 3id break pampering meself at me new found haven al asalla spa at DLC it's so serene n quiet and exactly the right atmosphere of solace i seek lately. Scented with exotic arabian treatments using pure ingredients like sandalwood, berber cereals, royal honey and milk this spa is the epitome of relaxation and stress relief. I've literally set camp in their majestic wet area with fragranced shower options loool! I've been tumbling alot in my thoughts lately and i'm in desperate need to smother my worries, 2005 bore alot of change into my life, most of those changes occured spontaneously and i am still in a deep struggle to come to terms with them. I miss my previous carefree self but simultaneously i am growing to appreciate the more nurtured and spiritually concious me ... i'm marching through an unstable phase that beholds alot of furture mystery lol i think i am getting a bit overly philosophical now lol it's just that i miss the magic ... my magic.. khair inshallah

My spring/summer delivery to s*uce n amzaan seem to be all bouncy n jolly at the storefronts heheheh i am actually quite thrilled that my mario party pink sushi bag is hanging all snug on the storefront of the S*UCE wall of fame! that truly made me entire weeek i always wanted to see one of me creations dangling up on that wall and on the day before 3id it stood up against that yellow saphire like wall and it screamed out at me with its vivid colors +we did it+ thanxs S*UCE u galsss rockkkkkk bigg timeee hearts hearts ! I also crafted a few hairbands for me l'il baby cuzzy meelaaa hehehe i can't wait to see her tiny head slipped into those bright pink-sushi hairbands heheheh! my little ba66a, i will actually be focusing on launching my junior range by april with the launch of a hip new store in the village mall but for now i'lll keeep it a secret , though u can take me word for it when i say this new long awaited baby store is gnna create a bang in the baby fashion scene in dxb yup all those kiddies are gnna sweep up the fashion scene by storm cn't waitt cn't waitt hint hint i created the entire corporate identity for this new kiddy fashion outlet...

GETTING CRAFTY

3id is round the corner, yet this 3id to me seems to be blurred by grey clouds, the loss of our ruler with the turn of the year is one of the major reasons for this solemn feeling within me,i hope our city heals in time... Also, most of me fwiends n relatives have jetted of to different global destinations. Kitty N sams I trulyy misss u gurlies lol +im positive the two of u will abuse all those winter accesories especially with the snowstorms hahahha+, shadsy 7aj mabroor in advance my mousey hope all goes smoothly and u return safe n sound along with all my other family members. eeek n i know u won't be reading this this but dn't forget to include me in ur prayers especially on the holy day of 3arafa today.

SURPRISINGLY, i've been spending alot of time indoors thus i finally am able to announce that the SPRING/SUMMER 06 pinksushi bags are finallly UP n ready to rock storefronts! yessss its the moment u've all been waiting for +pullls the red curtains+ taaa-daaaaaaaaaaaaaaa LOOOOOOL! This season includes massive fluffy shoulder bags with intricate customized metallic handles, funky clutch bags with bright supermario, hellokitty, atari-space invaders, mettallic and polka dot fabric swatches sewn in place with Vintage buttons and gurly neon tally ribbons. The stock is already sitting snug in the store rooms of S*UCE village mall, AMZAAN wafi and FIVEGREEN all impatiently awaiting their moments of glory smile Also, spring summer06 witnesses new pink sushi Ghitra skirts with art nouveau inspired floral prints and delicately crafted pink sushi makeupbags each with their own personalized kawaii name tags so do engulf in this seasons colors n eighties kitsch. I will be updating my fashion site with images of the new bags asap too so bare with me until then.

I also, managed to seal the corporate identity project i was working on for THE SERVICE SHOP, though my client opted for the more traditional proposal rather than the witty frying pan sketch i was fond of hehehehe but then again they are more aware of their target audience and the image they want to reflect in regards to the companys activities.

LET'S GET LOST

So here we are, the first day of 2006 ! swarms of sms's bobbing in n out of our mobile phones ! and ironically an sms i typed out to my contacts wishing my friends a "happy new year filled with blingbling..shopping spress. fluffy bows.. chocolate fondants.. and hello kitty shaped lollypops" seems to be circling about as a forward looooool +thanxs kittywitty for the insider info+ i wish everyone experiences a 2006 filled with fantasies yeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyy! hoot hooot ! grabs mimo's new year party hatt n does the funky chicken dance with her! heheheheh

To seal off 2005 i attended the best themed party ever! Based on the ABC tv series LOST! we were a group of 30 plane survivors set loost on a breezy beach with tons of organized tasks and missions including a coconut rapid fire hunt! it was great fun i chose to be CHARLIE PACE +my hunk of all hunks+ a heroin addict who's part of a rock band titled driveshaft in manchester! it was simply fab we had a few kates , a sawyer, a michael tons of shannons n claires a hurley and one jack hehehehe! The LET'S GET LOST party organizers fadsy and supershada were splendid they even gave us LOST giveaways including a "i heart sawyer" +NOT+ magnet and a mouse pad with the lost numbers printed on it! all in all it was a great break from the drag of attending typical glamorous girly parties considering the main aim of this party was to get out on the sandy beach, dress up like a airplane-crash survivor and test your skill / knowledge of survival techniques. We even had personalized aeroplane food trays served as snacks with our seat numbers and names on the OCEANIC FLIGHT 815 from SYD - LAX! and paper passports with our instant polaroid shots pasted into it ! LOL yeah they reallly didd goo all the wayy outt ahhahaha !

now for those of u who are cluelesss about LOST forgive me for this post but the rest of you LOST fans will absorb the heightened pace n thrill of experiencing and tuning into one of the best programmes i've ever watched on tv i.e considering i barely watch any televsion! hehehehe hope all of ya had a blast whether u were zzz'ing or with your families or pigging out with friends or stuck in the traffic with new year hooligans >.< +setsss offf the fireworksssssss displaaaaayyy+!
ps. LOST 210 WILL BE AIRED JAN 11 CANT WAITTTTTT! hehheheheheh i think i am addicted!

OOh n i forgot to mention i've been warped into the controversial book banat ilriyadh by raja'a sani! as recommended by my friend seen i am drowning into the pages filled with social , political and misc issues a group of 4 upper class saudi gurls witness in their lifetime. i just hope they dn't execute the author 4 her first published novel miskeeena and i hope it speaks out for her society >.< although i'd never wanna be standing in her shoes !! i admire her courage ..
