Over the past few weeks i have encountered a few special individuals, So first n foremost i want to dedicate this entry to individuals with speech-related disabilities, i don't even feel it's correct to name it as speech impairments but rather lingual challenges. I am sure most of you have at one point in your lifetime crossed paths with individuals suffering from a stutter, lisp or cluttering. I did a l'il bit of research online and i ended up learning some interesting facts so me gnna share n focus around this social issue in me post.

A lisp is the most common speech disability with humans and it is usually caused by a physical impairment within a human, usually a person with a lisp has difficulty pronouncing certain letters such as replacing the letters "S" with a "TH" sound and "R" with "L" or "GH" sound +eeek i personalyy find this sooo cutee+ On the other hand, a stutter is when speech is intervened with the repetition of certain letters like a glitch in a software for example, pink sushi is spoken "p p p p pppink su sh sh shi" Finally cluttering, is when a person gobbles up their words n combines letters rapidly making it difficult to understand normal sentences. Such disabilities occur in all languages and several reasons have been diagnosed as the main causes for speech problems including Genetics, Trauma, Hearing disabilities, Loss or removal or vocal chords and Mental Co-ordination disability. Thankfully, several free speech therapy centers are scattered around dubai to help overcome these matters or atleast improve them.

Also, studies show that such disabilities sprout out during childhood and are easier to overcome at earlier stages of life, additionaly, pathologists have concluded that 80% of adult stutterers happen to be males +GULP+ I think its really important for us to appreciate and respect such differences and it serves humanity for us to enlighten ourselves about such information, usually a trip to therapy centers proves extremely useful. Finally, outoff political correctness i'm sure we all know never to imitate or mock a person's speech patterns. I truly find such behaviour shallow, uncivilized and rude. There's nothing wrong with being nice i mean there's enuff cruelty in the world already,Oh n me fwiend ::sneezoi n i were having a long discussion about this matter n she stated that sub7aan allah tilaawat ilquraan ilkareem loudly assists in curing such speech disabilities.

I have beeen busy meeting 2 me friendsies wedding preparations awww mimiluuu just 3 more dayss!! inshallah yipppppppeeeeeeeeee! alllah yis3dkum in every step u undertake in your new life +wuvv ya tonsiess+ Also, i finished a funky l'il accordian fold brochure job for a chocolate shop in dubai ::melange:: and it turned out quite bright n playfulll! cutee enjoyyyy the shots! all the bestt to yaaa guys! OOh n me pink sushi bags have finally made it to saudi arabia and are officialy stocked in the kingdom mall, Riyadh awwwww! i still can't believe itt!! al7amdullilah ..

mood: rehydrating bitten by a bug!

What happens when your life takes a 360 degrees twist in the Wrong Direction? +snifflies+ two nites ago i was bitten by a tiny yet torturous food poisoning bug! +squats the bug hard with her fly squatter!+ can't remember the last time i had to pay a visit to a clinic bas al7amdullilah Thuthi is all rejuvinated and back on track now! AHA! I have conquered the malicious virus and swept it over its stinky feet with my brooom! "shooo shooo!" lolzz but it honestly made me appreciate the gift of being healthy it's like one day ur fluttering about like a butterfly, carefree as time sweeeps by and the next you're confronted with a flu and the world ain't a happy place no more, may god cure all illnesses and help anyone who's frail 'n ailing in the world! especially innocent children, we should all be thankful for being healthy al7amdullilah,

On another note, i managed to get me hands on two new goodies +evil smileee+ hehehe the first i managed to swallow up as a 70% off bargain from grandstores, A brand new yummmy digicam ::fuji finepix s7000!! ooooh its a SLAYER already tested out the macro setting in me flickr page! will get to reading the instructions for use laterzzz! Secondly, i am so amazed by the rate at which technology has Boomed, i managed to get a IOGEAR bluetooth hub for my desktop pc at home and gawwwd its simply wonderful! i finally managed to upload my cellphone images that have been hidden all safe in me mob for over a year now!!! and it was oh so easy to install so basically now i can connect my tekky stuff hasslefree n wirefree! oooh am loving it alweady!

oksie doksie gnna keep this post short n get back to my bedrest n electrolyte infused fluids +eeeek+ thanxs to da girlies for checking on me n thanxs a million sams and kitty 4 making me crack up in fits as always huggggsiesss!!!! ooh n the shots below were bluetooth'd from my nokia phonecamera to me pc enjoyy!! ooh n am weally enjoying this blog check it !!

AGA-boooom!

WOooow! thas was honestly a hip 3id! managed to balance out all my activities purrrrfe-chtly! hee heee! So a wellspent 3id including a trip to the Aga Boom circus, global village, beach and a touch of family visting was the ultimate trick to a fantabulous color sprinkled relaxing n festive 3id!! yipppeeee! The cutest ever after-effect that lingers within me every 3id is the adorable expression of the little ones counting their 3idiyaa! soooo cuuuteee! hahaha gaawwwd i miss those days i used to have a red l'il piggy bank with a key to lock it up! n tis was loaded n I mean loaded with a ton of 1 dh coins! i doubt i cud even lift it hahahaha! n in those days we had the big chunky coins rather than the fancy mini 1 dh coins woow i wish we always remained like that finding happiness in small things! i truly feel thas the secret of happines appreciating tiny things cuz small things always count, even a tiny smile might bring sunshine you way! cheeeeeeeeeeeze!!

I Spent quite a bit of time withh me friendsies which was ultraaa nice, we shared tiny chats and pigged out as always n me friend ::faithy:: created the cutest little slideshow of each one of us ever since we were kids to the people we have grown up to be noww! thanxss ::faithyy:: it wass gaaawjus! soo touchingg it actually got me eyess alll tearyyy +sniffflies+

I truly hope everyone had a wonderfull 3id inshallah and inshallah the floods in makka didnt harmmm any 7jaaj and inshallah everyone comes backk all safe n soundd and killl 3am wintuuu bkhairr! +hugggieeeessss+ n warmmm dunkieeesss forr alll especially considering thiss chilly rainy weather! hahaha can't remeber the last 3id it ever rained! hooohooo ! akiee thenn all the bestttt tooo alllllllll! i have me friend's wedding preparations to attendd tooo awwwwwwwww! btw did anyone read about the 6.5 earthquake thas predicted to hit dibba ? let's prayyy 4 the besttt enuff humann sacrifices!!!!

LIVE ON AIR

+WAVES AT EVEWYONE+ hi HI hi HI! i am hyper its past me bedtime n this is usually what happens to me system! It turns quirky n Cranky! so bare with my post ! lolzzzz heee heeeeeee! A few days ago i got a Mysterious phone call + boooo thriller movie sound track plays in the background+ kekekek anyways by the time i ended the 5 minutes conversation over the phone with a lady named siobhan pronouced Chevonne from ::dubai Eye:: 103.8 Radio station, the next thing that hit me was HEY! I AM gnna be on the radio! lolzzz! I must admit that being live on air for 30 mins was one of the most thrilling experiences ever in my entire life, it even beat the hell outoff six flags nemesis 12 loop rollercoaster ride! I also was lucky enuff to have a grand tour of all four DRN radio station studios including my fave ::92 dubai:: Fm! awwwwwwww! hehehe it truly seeemed like a hip place to be working with all the fancy tekky equipment and dozens of funky lounge music cd's laying about this place was the ideal spot for me! ooooooh!

Ofcourse the jitter bugs bit me ultra hard minutes before the show, It was like the attack of butterflies in my stomach x 2348570827 ! ehhehe but the mediators chevonne n darla were perfect also, i had a wonderful slooqi dog trainer on the same show talking about the uae culture and he even brought along his beautiful white winged falcon dhabaab ! cuteeeee! eheheh basically the talk show was focused on uae traditions and uae fashion so i was asked to talk about the concept between my fusion handbags combing the traditional in a contemporary way and am glad it all went well + pheeeeeeeeeew= i do have a copy of the recording but i am sooooooooo gnna NOT listen to it ! heee heee maybe in ten yrs i'lll play it back !! hahahha

Also, OOOOOh my webbie was nominated for the arablogger awards so do do do do do feel free to vote for me webbie in the following categories pretty plzzzzzzzzz with sugar n frosted pink sprinklies on top!

yeee haaaaaaaaaa! its the festive time of the year again! With DSF at it's tenth anniversary and still growing strong i must admit that this happening event is thrillllinggggggg! +grabs herself a candyfloss stick+ So as all big events there are the blunders associated with them! For example, it seems that the new mascot for DSF this year is ::Amitabh Bhachan:: ! What On Earth where they thinking?? i am still shell-shocked errmmm never imagined he'd end up as a mascot aside our bright yellow Modhesh! h3h3h3! Well, atleast someone's brain ticked this year and they decided to relocate ::The global village:: ! I'm surprised it took the organizers 10 yrs for it to sink in that "hellloooooo!!" traffic needs to be directed outside the city! but i guess its always better now than never! +pats algarhoud bridge on the back+ i'm proud of ya lol!! Eeeeeh i simply can't wait to step foot into the fair n slip into snap attack lomo mode hooo hoo! yumm n the bargains ummmmm! N yikes the funfair rides!! i just like to experience them on the outside i cant understand how ppl can ride those scarey mutants 20 times in a row +garrr pullls her hairr+ ooooopthy ! OOh n i am not sure if it's true but rumour has it that the Global Village is gnna last for three month this year! waaaa'?? the whole fun of it is the fact that its for a limited time i hope it doesn't turn into a draggg! +snifflies+ I hope everyone wins something this yr! with all the buy, peel, eat, guess, scratch n win promotions!!! i'm such a party poooper when it comes to such things perhaps its cuz i always end up with a "thankyou! please try again" msg! Lolzz!

I designed a l'il top for meself yesterday n embellished it with ghitra rose addon's! Mos prolly i'll wear it on 3id since there's nothing that suits me flavours in the marketscene! soo i was like i might as well create my own outfit n spare meself the road n shopping mall traffic! hoo hoo! happy eid shopping to all and inshallah all our loved ones return from 7aj safely this year with cleared sins n cleansed spirits i wanna go again i wannna go againnnnnnnnnnnnn! +chills+ okie then i'll get back to blinging me glitzy golden smurfette bag! tooodlies!

Unveiling Sharjah

Amidst the bustling n noisy sharjah street life lies a magnifecent heritage infused area, I always head towards ::Souq Al Arsa:: in the heart of Sharjah when i seek inspiration or antique silver treasures to accesorize my pink sushi handbags with. The Souq is stacked with a kaleidscope of everything you could possibly imagine from vintage cameras, stamps, old records, passports dating back to world war 1 and antique silver jewellery. Most of the storeowners are friendly eldery UAE nationals who simply head towards the souq every evening to enjoy a cup of milk tea and share conversations about the good ol'days with their neighbouring shop owners. The last time i visited the souq i purchased two vintage cameras from a friendly elderly man who spent an hour explaining the history behind each camera and the memories they once unravelled for him. This time i gifted him with shots i obtained with those cameras! +smiley wiley+ I seriously feel like Alice in Wonderland everytime i step foot into that marketplace and i just love the brief conservations and stories i encounter in there. It seriously is a blast from the past and a must visit for allll!

What i truly admire about Sharjah is its government's fascination with preserving its heritage and reserving its beautiful cultural roots, Although i barely visit, considering its merely a 30mins drive from Dubai i still cherish its fame for it's numerous educational islamic art and science museums! wuhoooweee! I must spend some more time exploring around the emirates me thinxx! Anyhu's enuff jibber jabber from me i shall hop off with my new pink victim of choice, to conceptualize new ideas for my summer collection of bags inshallah and will leave you with some shots of the souk. enjoyyyy!!

wuhooooweee one week into the new year and already i feel changes happening around me !! At this very moment though i wish i could be warped out off my wits to PUROLAND awww isn't that place simply the cutest ever! i guess i'll just have to hold my horses until feb though! +hoping n crosses her fingers tight+ awww n i wanted to send out a hugee thankyou to everyone who strolled on in to spread their magical wishes for 2005 +passes firecrackers to all+ yipppeee let's celebrate!

For some strange reason i am seeking change these past couple of days, i am in a experimental mood i am not sure if it's necassairly a good or bad thing but i feel there is something lurking within me that i have yet to discover, hmmm +thuthi is confused+ ! As a designer, i constantly seek inspiration from my surroundings, sometimes even a color combination on a crushed candy wrapper sparks concepts and branding ideas within me, It's also quite difficult to convey this ideology to people who don't think in colors, shapes and composition +arghhhh+ but i GUESS the real trick to being a succesful graphic designer is to illustrate your clients demands in a manner that will balance out the equation. hmmmm so i'm gnna make suree i keep my tiny eyesies wideee open!! 2 absorb everything glitzy and shimmery around but i feel that the best concepts sprout out you're equipped with limited resources.

A while ago i wrote up an article for ::Student Talk:: magazine and the ending paragraph included my secret recipe for being a succesful designer i think i need to refresh those points and i thought it wud be fun to share it here too

::Rule #1: Always accept constructive criticism, the key to being a successful graphic designer is to listen to your audience and base your design elements accordingly.

::Rule #2: Awaken your senses to the surrounding global design standards. Keep yourself up to date by subscribing to international design magazines these publications will help enlighten your design capabilities and act as references or guides while you create your designs.

::Rule #3: Don’t limit yourself, unleash your creativity and never fear to go against the norm.

All my best wishes to everyone leaving for 7aj these upcoming days inshallah! gawwwd i truly wanna experience it all over again maybe next year inshallah and to all of us who are left to splunder on eid shopping in dxb the Sale is on soo rushhhhhhhhhhhhh!
