Just want to explain something about the article in Emirates Today.
James (the reporter) got in touch with Mike Ross months ago (before the paper was launched) to write an article about Lomo and to file it for future use. Mike asked him to also contact me for the article. James asked me to send him some of my pics and said that Mike gave him a CD with many images (reading you blog, I guess yours were included on the CD).
A few days ago, James called me and said he doesn't know who took which pics because it wasn't clear on the CD, although he knows which ones are mine. He asked if it would be ok to credit the pics by saying images provided by Hind, Mike and Dubai Lomo Embassy. He asked if I would think anyone would mind. Mike was out of town and I said I guess no one would mind. I really didn't know whose images were on the CD Mike provided, but I assumed Mike checked with everyone. Apparantly not.
Anyway, the article got published today, and none of my pics got included, not sure why. I felt bad that my name was credited for pics I didn't take. I even emailed James and told him so. Didn't hear from him yet.
Sorry for any misunderstanding, but I think Mike should have checked with everyone before sending a CD with their images.
